Photos from Trip to Brazil: Fair Trade Honey

Ryan returned yesterday from a 6-day trip to Brazil to film a documentary on Fair Trade honey. He shadowed Dick Turanski and Alan Turanski, of Glorybee Foods as they meet with the bee keepers, whose honey they will buy via this Fair Trade purchase.

It was amazing to meet the people of NE Brazil (one of the poorest areas in Brazil) and see how they live and how honey – specifically Fair Trade honey – is allowing them to grow their community in a positive way.

We\’ll be producing a documentary in the next 90 days, but for now, here\’s some photos from the trip.

Here\’s a shot from the top of Spencer Butte in Eugene, Oregon. I shot this while filming for the Eugene Parks PSA last month. I was able to blend the 2 photos together to achieve the high dynamic range.

The Slither Inn Reptile Rescue

While at Riverplay Park shooting some video footage for the Eugene Parks PSAs, I came across Kiah and Chad, who call themselves, \’Reptile Rescuers.\’ Their company, The Slither Inn Reptile Rescue takes in unwanted reptiles. They were at the park this day with mobs of kids around them checking out the little creatures. Here\’s a couple of photos.

A Monday Morning Sunrise
